Owner & Licensed General Contractor, Thompson's Signature Homes

With over a decade of experience in different construction trades, Kevin Thompson is the founder of Thompson's Signature Homes. Kevin began his career in construction shortly after graduating high school by working with a land development company. After working in land development for a few years Kevin was hired by the Jacksonville Fire Department, where he rose to the rank of Lieutenant. While serving with the Jacksonville Fire Department Kevin created his business, honing his skills in home repairs and remodels. After earning his general contractor's license, he shifted his focus to custom home building, where he’s been delivering unique, high-quality homes ever since.

What drives Kevin is the challenge of each new project. For him, no two builds are the same, and he thrives on solving the unique challenges that every custom home presents. With a passion for craftsmanship and an eye for detail, Kevin ensures that each home is not just built – it’s built with purpose.

Brittany Parker

Client Relations Manager & Design Specialist, Thompson's Signature Homes

Brittany Parker brings over a decade of experience to Thompson's Signature Homes as our Client Relations Manager and Design Specialist. Prior to joining the team, Brittany served with Onslow County EMS for more than 10 years, where she developed exceptional problem-solving, communication, and care skills – qualities that make her the perfect guide for our clients throughout the custom home building process.

With an eye for design and a passion for creating beautiful spaces, Brittany ensures that every home reflects the unique style and needs of each client. She works hand-in-hand with our vendors to ensure that all specifications and selections align perfectly with the client’s choices, guaranteeing a seamless and stress-free experience. Additionally, Brittany supports Kevin with management and administrative tasks, ensuring that every project stays on track and meets the highest standards of quality.

Michael Gildersleeve

Superintendent, Thompson's Signature Homes

Michael Gildersleeve ("Mike") brings many years of leadership experience to Thompson's Signature Homes. Mike is our Custom Home Builder Superintendent and a vital, task-driven part of our company. Mike retired as a Master Gunnery Sergeant ("Master Guns") from the U.S. Marine Corps, bringing extensive leadership experience to his role.

As Superintendent, he manages all day-to-day operations on the job sites, including overseeing subcontractor timelines and material logistics. In addition to managing subcontractor timelines, Mike works closely with Brittany to ensure client selections are being followed on each jobsite. Mike ensures a smooth and transparent building experience for our clients by providing daily log and schedule updates that are visible to them.

Nicki Thompson

Office Manager, Thompson's Signature Homes

Nicki Thompson brings years of management experience to Thompson's Signature Homes. Prior to joining the team, Nicki managed restaurants and coffee shops, where she developed strong leadership, financial management, and operational expertise skills.

As our Office Manager, Nicki is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the office to ensure efficiency and productivity. This role involves permit management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, subcontractor administrative management, as well as handling communications, maintaining physical and digital filing systems, and supporting various departments with administrative tasks. As our Office Manager, Nicki ensures a well-organized, safe, and welcoming workplace environment.

Josh Lopez

In-House Craftsman, Thompson Signature Homes

Josh is one of our dedicated In-House Craftsmen and has been an integral part of Thompson's Signature Homes since the beginning. He brings an unmatched level of detail and problem-solving skill to every project, ensuring the finished product perfectly reflects the client's vision. Serving as the crucial link between our subcontractors and the final, personalized details, Josh provides top-notch, hands-on service for all final modifications, including cabinetry, trim work, and framing adjustments.

Additionally, Josh's excellent personal communication skills facilitate great informal communication on the job site between our clients and the company. He also efficiently handles warranty work as needed.

Matthew Smith

In-House Craftsman, Thompson Signature Homes

Matt brings an unmatched level of expertise and over three decades of construction experience to Thompson's Signature Homes. Before moving to North Carolina, he spent more than 30 years in California honing his skills in various construction roles. Matt is crucial for bringing the truly "custom" elements to life in our custom houses.

His consistent, level-headed approach and wisdom are a significant asset on the job site, helping the team work through the most complicated of problems and ensuring that all intricate and detailed custom home work is executed smoothly.
